A Bit About Us

Our hearts changed in 2012 as we began to explore foster care. Initially, we wanted to know if fostering was suitable for our lives. We decided to take the plunge and go for it! We truly fell in love with the children placed in our home. Six years and three adoptions into our fostering, we noticed a significant need in foster care. We felt the pull of God's call on our hearts to do something about it. We are so blessed to have five children we have adopted out of the 15 we have fostered, and we couldn't be happier! However, it's important to note that the journey was not without its challenges. We also noticed that there needed to be more services for foster parents. We couldn't leave the parents out and felt compelled to help foster parents and give them the support they needed. Having healthy foster parents is vital to the success of healthy, successful foster families. We have taught our children many life-changing things and learned from them how important it is to plant Godly seeds that will ultimately change their trajectory for life. Our experience has changed our trajectory in life as foster parents, so we decided to help other families find their way into foster care by launching The Planted Seed Ministry (TPSM). There is so much work to be done in foster care, and we hope our story touches your heart and makes you decide to get involved.
